# FAQ and known limitations

## Is every item marked for margin taxation eligible?

No. The flag is a default. Origin, goods classification and acquisition evidence are reviewed for each acquisition. An industry template does not replace that review.

## Why does a document line show zero percent?

The technical document posting group represents gross consideration. VAT on the positive margin is posted separately. Do not additionally report the gross amount as VAT-exempt turnover.

## Why can I not change a posted tax flag?

The app protects original evidence. Use referenced credit memos and revisions. Changing the item card does not change earlier posted documents.

## Can I use Excel to import fiscal evidence back?

There is no generally approved third-party legacy-data import. Exports support analysis and evidence. Do not change fiscal entries through generic import tools.

## What should I check for electronic invoices?

The app provides structured output in Peppol and XRechnung formats. During setup, check the output and delivery route you use. Custom layouts and integrations require appropriate configuration. Internal purchase prices and margins must not appear on the customer document. [Set up invoice output](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/configure/setup.md).

## How do I get the app?

[Contact solutioo directly](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/start/licensing.md). We will discuss your needs and prepare a quote for using and setting up the app.

## Where are the margin tax fields?

Open the purchase or sales line, enlarge the line area using focus mode and scroll horizontally to the right. Depending on the profile, show additional fields through personalization. The [quickstart](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/work/quickstart.md) marks the controls with numbers.

## How do I contact support?

Use the embedded Dynamics CRM form on the [support page](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/help/support.md). Start the subject with “Margin Tax” and include versions and the full error message.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.solutioo.de/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/help/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
