# Updates and changes

## Check your version

Open **Extension Management** in Business Central to see the installed app version. This guide describes version **0.28.1.2**.

## Features in this version

* Purchase and sale of eligible items linked to the specific acquisition.
* Individual and aggregate margin taxation with internal tax and settlement evidence.
* Referenced customer and vendor returns and price credits.
* Invoice and credit memo output with margin notices, plus structured output in Peppol and XRechnung formats.

See [Buy and sell](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/work.md) and [Daily work](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/work/daily-work.md) for the workflows and their prerequisites.

## Prepare an update

1. Coordinate the update with your administrator. Check whether custom layouts or other extensions are affected.
2. Back up data and evidence through your usual Business Central backup process.
3. Check the update in a sandbox first using your key workflows: purchase, sale, correction and document output.
4. Check the intended users' permissions and the appearance of customer documents.
5. Plan the update of your working environment with your administrator.

**Need help?** [Contact solutioo](/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/help/support.md) and include your current app and Business Central versions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.solutioo.de/differenzbesteuerung/differenzbesteuerung_en_us/maintenance/updates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
