Set Up Catalog and Inventory

These settings define the default behavior for products and inventory.

Catalog Fields

• Allow Item Upload
• Upload Item Image

Variant versus Model

Use Model as Configurable determines whether a model is used as a Magento parent product. Variant axes are maintained centrally; the older Color/Size fields are deprecated.

Categories

Upload Product Category sends product-category assignments. The default category is the fallback.

MSI Inventory

• Inventory Sync Mode = Magento MSI
• Upload Inventory
• Upload Variant Inventory
• Allow Update Magento Inventory
• MSI Source → BC Location

Legacy Stock Item is not reliable in this version. Use MSI after a successful mapping test.

Negative Quantities

The Upload Negative Quantity toggle does not affect the current MSI upload. Handle negative quantities organizationally.
