Set Up Customers

The connector can create unknown Magento customers or post orders to default customers.

Enabling Customer Creation

With Create Unknown Customer, a BC customer is created on demand. Select a Customer Template.

Default Customers

• Default Guest Customer for guest orders
• Default Login Customer for logged-in customers when no individual creation occurs

Customer Groups

Magento customer groups can be mapped to BC Customer Price Groups. The practical price usage must be tested separately.

Addresses

Bill-to and ship-to addresses are transferred. Region, country, post code, phone, company name, and additional lines depend on Magento data and BC field lengths.

In version 27.10.0.16, there is a known bug: the first name may be used twice as the customer name on the generated document. Verify names and addresses before posting.

Recommendation

Test guest customer, registered individual, company, alternate ship-to address, special characters, long names, and missing fields.
