Variant Inventory and Negative Quantities

For variants, the salable stock must normally reside on the child SKUs.

Variant Inventory

Upload Variant Inventory enables inventory transfer for variants. Parent and children must be correctly linked.

Negative Quantities

The MSI routine transmits the calculated quantities. When the quantity is ≤ 0, the status is set to Out of Stock.

The configuration toggle Upload Negative Quantity is not evaluated in the MSI upload of version 27.10.0.16. Negative quantities may be sent. Prevent this if needed through BC inventory rules or process adjustments.

Verification

Check each child SKU, Source Quantity, Stock Status, and frontend availability.
