# Copy the quantities

Post writes the picked quantity onto the sales order.

On **Sales Order Picking**, choose **Post**.

**Post** does not post the shipment or the invoice. The app does this:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Write the quantity onto the order

For each picking line, **Picked Qty.** is added to **Qty. to Ship** and **Qty. to Invoice** on the matching item line. Before that, the app sets both quantities on the order to 0, so only the quantity just picked stays open.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Finish the scan

The copied quantity moves to **Posted Picked Qty.** **Picked Qty.** is set to 0. The message is **QR Picking are posted.**
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

If there are no picking lines, you see **No lines to post.**

Then open the sales order and post the shipment or invoice as usual. The copied quantities are already there.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.solutioo.de/qr-picking/qr-picking-en/copy-the-quantities.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
