Configurable Items

To create a configurable item, all variants must first be created as (Simple) Items.

This explanation assumes the standard view. Follow the path below to create a new item (master item):

Shopware Related Linked items (parent)

On the page that opens, first click „+ New“ and then enter all product details.

The product details are displayed. The following two screenshots show a standard view with all editable properties. These can be adjusted individually depending on your settings.

The individual fields are explained below.

1. General

2. Variants

Up to three option attributes can be assigned to the item. At least one attribute must be assigned. Depending on your selection, the product is linked accordingly.

3. Shopware information

Here you can see whether the product has already been synchronized to Shopware and at what time this happened. In addition, the associated Shopware ID and the respective status reason are shown clearly.

4. Sales Channel

The sales channel indicates in which shop the product is available. You can decide yourself in which shop the item is offered.

5. Shopware product pictures

Follow the path Shopware product pictures List. All product pictures, including those of the simple items, are listed there. Select the title picture by ticking it in the list.

If no pictures are available yet, select "+ New" in the bar at the top and then "Shopware product pictures" on the right. In the drop-down menu that opens, click "Import". Drag the picture you want directly into the open window or upload it using the "Browse" function.

6. Assignment and upload

Once all necessary details have been entered, the item must be assigned to a category. To do this, click the "Assign simple products" button. If the upload is successful, the product then appears in the "Simple product" list.
