Manufacturers

The connector transfers manufacturers to Shopware automatically as soon as an item with a manufacturer is uploaded.

How it works

• After the first upload, every BC manufacturer receives a Web-ID (Shopware manufacturer ID).
• During the product upload, the item's manufacturer is set automatically as manufacturerId.
• The sync status is tracked for each manufacturer.

Resetting

Use the Reset Manufacturer IDs action in the Configuration to delete the Shopware links – the manufacturers are then created again with the next upload.

You do not have to upload manufacturers manually – this happens automatically as part of the item upload.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to create manufacturers manually in Shopware before uploading items?

No. The Shopware 6 API Connector creates the manufacturer in Shopware automatically as soon as an item with that manufacturer is uploaded, and stores the Web-ID on the Business Central manufacturer. There is no need to create them in advance.

What happens if I change a manufacturer name in Business Central?

The manufacturer stays linked to the Shopware manufacturer through its Web-ID. A name change is updated with the next upload. If you want to rebuild the link from scratch, use the “Reset Manufacturer IDs” action.
