Troubleshooting

Not All Functions of the DPD Connector Are Displayed, or the Assisted Setup Produces an Error Message.

Your administrator controls which permissions and views you have access to. If you are missing functions you need, contact your Business Central administrator and request additional permissions specifically for the DPD Connector.

An Error Message Appears When Uploading to DPD (Recipient Address Issue)

If you have correctly filled in the Package Code, Weight UOM, and Weight fields in a sales order, but clicking “Upload Packages” causes an error — while other orders work fine — this is due to DPD automatic address validation.

When uploading, DPD checks whether the sender and recipient addresses are valid — for example, whether the house number exists. The same validation happens when manually creating a shipment in the DPD Business Customer Portal.

Please verify the following:

  • The house number is separated from the street name by a space.

  • The postal code matches the city.

  • The customer address entered during checkout contains no typos, especially in the street name.

The Assisted Setup for DPD Boxes Does Not Work

As an alternative to the guided setup, you can use the Business Central search and enter “DPD”, then select “DPD Boxes.” Here, you can create a new package manually — just as you would via the assisted setup.

If this page is not available to you, ask your Business Central administrator whether the appropriate permissions have been assigned to your user.

A newly created boy cannot be safed / shows an error as soon as dimensions are filled in

When creating a new shipping box, make sure to fill in the code first and wait until Business Central has saved it. This code serves as the unique identifier for the box. All other values, such as dimensions, will cause error messages if the code has not been entered first. If in doubt, delete the box and create a new one.

I want to change from Sandbox to Production, the connection test was successful but I cannot send data to DPD

The "Test Connection" button in the guided setup checks the connection to DPD. During the initial setup, a failed connection test indicates configuration errors.

⚠️ Important: If you first use the DPD Connector in a sandbox environment, successfully test the connection there, and then switch to the live environment on the same day, the system may still display a success message — even though an error would normally occur.

This happens because DPD only allows one token to be generated per day. The moment you receive a success message after clicking the "Test Connection" button, that token has already been used. In this case, you must wait at least 24 hours before performing another connection test.
